Classes and Events: I offer classes in various (some seasonal) natural dye techniques in my home studio/dye garden in Cleveland, Missouri.

“I offer seasonal classes in Bundle Dyeing, Eco-Printing, Tatakizome, Shibori and Fresh-Leaf Indigo Techniques. I am also available for individual instruction in garment sewing or consultation on sewn product pattern development. All classes are "on-demand" and can be planned around our schedules.”

About: Lucille's Basement offers one of a kind, naturally dyed textile goods as well as natural dye classes, kits and locally grown dyestuffs. I grow dye flowers and indigo (persicaria tinctoria), as well as loofah fiber. I grow my indigo, flowers and loofah sponges without chemical pesticides. I'm excited to have begun extracting pigment from my indigo crop during the 2025 season. I'm committed to sharing my experience with students wanting to learn more about natural dyeing and creating their own slow fashion.
